4. Recognising and Responding to Safeguarding Concerns

• Physical abuse (e.g., hitting, shaking, excessive restraint)
• Emotional abuse (e.g., intimidation, bullying, humiliation)
• Sexual abuse (e.g., exploitation, inappropriate contact, grooming)
• Neglect (e.g., failing to provide necessary care, medical attention, or supervision)

Reporting Concerns: Any safeguarding concern should be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or deputy. If an individual is in immediate danger, emergency services should be contacted via 999.

• Recruitment & Vetting: All staff and volunteers undergo DBS checks where applicable.
• Training: All representatives receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role.

6. Roles and Responsibilities

• Trustees & Leadership: Ensure safeguarding policies are implemented effectively.

7. Reviewing & Updating this Policy
