Part 3: Empowering Women and Inspiring Change
On Tuesday, we joined hands with an extraordinary woman, Lady Fatou, and her Young Mothers Association. This organisation provides a safe space for women escaping domestic violence, poverty, and other challenges. Through advocacy and international funding, she empowers these women to rebuild their lives.
Our project coordinator, Bisi Ajileye, led an inspiring session where she encouraged the women to reflect on their purpose and identity. She left them with a powerful mantra:
I must do it.
I can do it.
I will do it.
Meanwhile, the children weren’t left out. About 60 young ones engaged in arts and crafts, learning the importance of nurturing a seed—both in soil and in life. It was a moment of joy and hope for the future.
